WORK SHOP 1 　 吹きガラス/Glass - blowing

リチャード･マーキス(アメリカ)/Richard Marquis(USA) 1945年、アリゾナ州バムブレービー生まれ。カリフォルニア州立大学バークレイ校にて美術修士(BA)取得。1969年フルブライト奨学金にてイタリアのベニス、ベニィニ工房へ留学後、伝統的ムリーニ技法を独自に展開した新しい世界を作り上げていった。氏の作品は、70年代より現代まで多くのファンに愛されている。 1945 born in Arizona, U.S.A After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 1969, Richard Marquis studied at Venini in Italy as a recipient of The Fulbright Grant. He has achieved reputation for his innovative use of the traditional murrine technique and his stunning works are greatly admired by many since '70s.

ニック･マウント(オーストラリア)/Nick Mount(Australia) 1952年、オーストラリア、アデレード生まれ。卓越した技術と優れたデザインセンスで30年以上活動を続ける。オーストラリアの代表的なガラス作家。伝統的なヴェネチアンスタイルと独自の造形力を融合させた作品は、多くの個人コレクターや美術館に収蔵されている。オーストラリア、南北アメリカ、ヨーロッパ、日本での作品発表、様々な制作依頼のほかに、後進の指導者としても高い評価を受けています。 Nick Mount is one of Australia's pre-eminent glass artists.In a carrer spanning three decades his work has combined virtuoso technique with a keen instinct for design, freely adapting traditional Venetian decorative styles to his own distinctive sculptural approach. He is recognized for his commissions, teaching, andexhibitions in Australia, Europe, South America, the United States and Japan and his work is represented in many major public and private collections.

WORK SHOP 2 　 ミクストメディア/Mixed media

ウルスラ･フース(ドイツ)/Ursula Huth(Germany) 1952年、ドイツ、ドナウ、ウルム生まれ。 1982年アメリカロードアイランドスクールオブデザインにて美術修士(MFA)取得。氏の作品は、ペイント、ステンドグラス、キャストグラス、吹きガラスと技法が多様に使い分けられている。しかし一見荒削りな作品は、一貫した独自の強い世界を持ち、センスあふれ、世界的に認められたすばらしいものである。 1958 born in Ulm, Germany Ursula Huth attended the Rhode Island School of Design and graduated in 1982 with a Master of Fine Arts Degree. Her works have a wide spectrum due to the variety of techniques she exexutes - blown, cast, painted and stained glass - and yet her creations have significant consistency. Her distinctivety poweful and sophisticated works have gained reputation world wide.

エリザベス･スインバァーン(オランダ)/Elizabeth Swinburne(Holland) 1958年、イギリス生まれ。1983オランダ/アムステルダム、Rietveld Academieを卒業後、18年間Staffordshire Universityにて教鞭を執る。その後ロンドンのRoyal College of Art、オランダ/アムステルダムのRietveld Academieとで教鞭を執り現在にいたっている。作品は吹きガラスの作品で、ガラスそのものとその光と影を巧みにとらえた幻想的なものである。 1958 born in U.K After gratuating from the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, Amsterdam in 1983 Elizabeth Swinburne has had several teaching positions : 18 years at Stafordshire Unibersity, Royal College of Art, London presently at the Rietveld Academie. Her blown glass works highlights the unique and opposing characteristics of the material. Capturing the light and shdow, her works present intriguing visionary images to the viewers.

WORK SHOP 3 　 ランプワーク/Lamp work

ヴィットリオ･コスタンティーニ(イタリア)/Vittorio Costantini(Italy) 1944年、イタリア、ブラノ生まれ。11歳より吹きガラス工房にて働き始める傍ら趣味としてランプワークを始める。独立後、ランプワークが作品制作の中心となる。昆虫等、生物をモチーフにした緻密な作品は世界的に認められており、ムラノ島有数のランプワークマスターである。 1944 born in Burano, Italy Besides starting work in a Glass factory at the age of 11, Vittorio Costantini initially took up lampworking for pleasure, but ever since he set up his own business he has acquired a mastery of this technique. He creates the most elaborate and refined figures of insects and libing creatures. His works have gained wide recognition and is regarded as one of the best lampworking maestros in Murano.

授業内容概略 Outline of the Lessons	ムリーに技法を中心とした吹きガラスのワークショップ。経験者のみ。 Glass blowing workshop mainly focusing on the murrine technique. *Those who wish to attend this course must have certain experience in glass blowing/ Not suitable for beginners.	ペイント、キャスト、ヒューズ、スランプそしてブローグラス技法を使った、アイディアとその表現のための技法を学習するミクストメディアクラス。 A mixed - media course focusing on how to realize one's ideas by use of various techniques such as casting, fusing, slumping, blowing and painting.	精密な生物制作等、ソリッドワーク中心のランプワーク学習。 Lampworking course. Mainly solid work, creating finely detailed figures and objects.
